TEREZIN CONCENTRATION CAMP

This famous 14th century castle was built as a place of safekeeping of the coronation jewels of the Holy Roman Emperors, the royal treasures, the holy relics, especially the spear of Destiny. It is closed in January and February. The Chapel of the Holy Cross is possible to see after a reservation in advance from June until October. We recommend this tour in combination with seeing castles Krivoklat, or Konopiste, or the Nizbor crystal factory.

KONOPISTE CASTLE
This castle was the last residence of the archduke Franz Ferdinand d´Este, who was assassinated in Sarajevo in 1914 along with his Czech wife, the event that started World War I. It houses valuable art collections and the third largest armoury in Europe. A viewing of the private rooms of Franz Ferdinand´s family is a highlight and must be booked in advance. It is closed in winter. A combination with the castles Cesky Sternberk, or Karlstejn, or Hluboka, or medieval towns either Kutna Hora, or Cesky Krumlov is available.
